Focus

I like William H Macy. Laura Dern is okay, but WHM made this film. It was a thoughtful though somewhat politically correct look at racism. Racism is something I do a good deal of thinking about. As a Mid-Westerner growing up, it did not hit my radar until I moved into the “New South” and have spent my adulthood seeing just how old the “new” is. Taking the focus off of black vs. white and putting it on anti-Semitism helps discern both the obvious and subtle problems of judging men by anything other than their character. I have to give kudos to Meatloaf, everytime I see him in a film (well, almost) he makes a great character come alive. Not for the young due to subject material, but a great watch. Actually gave it two looks.
